Winner of the Audience Award in Salzburg (2012/2013),

Jacopo Spirei has directed acclaimed productions for major theatres and festivals,

including the Gran Teatre del Liceu, San Francisco Opera, Teatro San Carlo, Theater an der Wien,

Göteborg Opera, Festival Verdi, Donizetti Festival, and Wexford Festival Opera.

He worked extensively with Graham Vick on productions for Glyndebourne,

Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Birmingham Opera, and others.

Trained in Bologna and New York, he teaches Opera Directing at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts

and is deeply committed to mentoring young artists through institutions such as the Royal Danish Opera

and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
